This prestigious annual conference, held during the hectic UN General Assembly week in New York City, brings together global leaders, influential change-makers, celebrities, and decision-makers to drive social impact and innovation. The Solution
The Clinton Foundation approached Markham in 2021 to help re-launch the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting, which had originally run from 2005-2016 as the premiere event in NYC during UNGA week.
Leveraging multiple years of working with the Clinton Foundation team on their Action Network events from 2018-2021, we quickly dove in and helped re-think what a conference could be. We focused on listening to what the Clinton Foundation team wanted to sustain from CGI 1.0, and what they wanted to update, and we came up with a plan that included five BIG ideas to help CGI 2.0 make a splash.
The Impact
Markham worked hand-in-hand with the Clinton Foundation team for over nine months on all details – big and small. In close collaboration, we created and executed an ambitious plan that raised the bar for UNGA Week conferences.
